Cape Tribulation Information
Cape Tribulation in Queensland is a very popular holiday destination on the Daintree coast. Located within the Daintree National Park, Cape Tribulation offers both the wonderful beach lifestyle as well as the inland tropical serenity.
Captain Cook discovered Cape Tribulation in 1770 as he was sailing up the Queensland coast. He struck a reef 40 kilometres east of Cape Tribulation which is named Endeavour Reef after his sailing vessel. It is this incident which led Captain Cook to name the area Cape Tribulation.
If one had to describe Cape Tribulation in a sentence it would be something like “A magical destination where the rainforest meets the reef”.
Although Cape Tribulation is a small town there is plenty to do and see on your relaxing holiday. The nearby Daintree River Crossing is a popular spot to go for some 4WD action. Environmental lovers will enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife. Another great adventure not to miss is the Bloomfield Track which runs along the coastline.
Cape Tribulation also features lots of popular activities to do beachside. Horse riding is very popular along with the usual activities like boating, sailing, jet skiing, Sea kayaking, diving and fishing.
Ocean and Inland safaris are a must experience activity when visiting Cape Tribulation. There are guided tours available which cover everything from sailing eco tourism to inland sightseeing. Rainforest camping is also another great activity. It doesn’t matter if you go by camper-trailer, motor home or just a simple tent as one thing’s for sure in that if you don’t experience it you will always regret it when you return home.
