Marble Bar Information
Marble Bar, well known for extremely hot weather is a town in the Piblara with plenty of rock formations. Being the hottest town in Australia it is still recorded in the Guniess book World Records for 161 days above 38 degrees.
The towm was originally put on the map following a gold discovery of Francis Jerkins in 1893. Once ago in 1891 the town had a population of 5000 however today only about 250 people reside here.
